Greetings from Vipan in Lund, Sweden

Vipan is the newest local secondary school in Lund.

At Vipan we are aware that the future starts to take shape during the high school years. Supporting our pupils’ learning efforts in every possible way is one of our higher priorities.

It is said that the environment effects people. Our school is located in a park landscape with beautiful lawns surrounded by tall trees. Here you can find light, clean air and plenty of space. It is a place where our students experience freedom with accountability. It is an environment that facilitates concentration and peace and quiet, key elements for successful studies.

Our symbol, the lapwing, is a bird that flies willingly through the Scanian landscape to explore its territory. Its sharp whistling is heard often and clearly all over Scania. It flies over its territory but also far away from it because it is a migratory bird.

Greetings from Merida, Spain

We are a high school from Mérida, a small city in the  SouthWest of Spain. Our region is called Extremadura and is a beatiful area plenty of Mediterranean trees and animals. We have not a lot of industry and our main sources are the agriculture and the tourism . Mérida is the capital so the Extremadura´s government is here. We are a small school but we are exciting because of  this project.

img_1575  This year EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK will be held under the banner of ’Smart and sustainable mobility – an investment for Europe’, referring to the close ties between transport and economics. The benefits of smarter mobility apply across the board – from the public to the private sector, from society at large to the individual. In 2016, EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK is encouraging local politicians and the public to look at smart and sustainable mobility as an investment for Europe.

My students Dorotina and Nhung has been around and checked how it looks in our city, Lund, Sweden, where the people have taken over the streets from all the parked cars.
